Creating light creates timelessness
Lighting solutions by Zumtobel provide the key to tomorrow’s architecture
Human sustainability – it’s the starting point of everything we do
We understand light holistically and create lighting solutions that not only impress with maximum energy efficiency. Our products are known for their timeless design, future-proof technology, and easily recyclable components.
Active Light
A holistic approach to light quality ensures satisfying, long-term use of valuable resources in a building. Light supports people visually, emotionally and biologically. For comfort, inner balance and health.
Connected Architecture
With the right lighting infrastructure buildings evolve into a learning ecosystem for people and for sustainable use.
Human Sustainability
Human sustainability not only takes the light’s power consumption into account; rather, but people and their needs are also not forgotten. Sustainable architecture and smart buildings become a temporary storage facility for the resources of future generations.
A circular economy pilot Project with EUROSPAR & Caritas
In collaboration with carla, a social enterprise of Caritas, the TECTON lighting system by Zumtobel was tested as an example of circular economy principles. The objective was to develop a sustainable dismantling process and an efficient return logistics system in partnership with Voestalpine and Spar.
Refurbishment for the Future Production Hall
Through lighting refurbishment, Zumtobel strengthens the circular economy of the TECTON lighting system, promotes energy-efficient operations, and advances digitalization. Thanks to the transition to LED lighting coupled with innovative sensors, energy consumption has been reduced by more than 75 percent. The existing TECTON trunking systems were dismantled professionally and are being reused in the facilities of Carla Vorarlberg, a social enterprise of Caritas.
The New York Times office in a new light
The New York Times Building has replaced its T5 fluorescent lights with a customized LED refurbishment kit from Zumtobel. This perfect adaptation provides 50% energy savings, plastic-free packaging, and quick installation. Read the full story about this sustainable lighting project.
How much can you save with a refurbishment?
The ban on outdated lamps is your chance to modernise an aging installation.
This not only saves costs, but also CO2 emissions.

Sustainability in any application
'Application first’ – based on this, we traditionally share our in-depth knowledge of light and its usage through many channels. In fact, we aim to create lighting solutions that deliver real added value for your respective area of application, whether in industry, offices, educational institutions, shops or museums.
